AVL RACING is operating on a very fast-moving and challenging market. Therefore, it is important to provide them the latest state-of-the-art technology to keep their technological supremacy. This was achieved by creating an interactive 360-degree showroom which was integrated into the existing webpage.
SCOOP & SPOON’s strategic approach was to develop a platform where users can get a closer insight to processes, operations and solutions by visually enabling them to visit and learning about the tech rooms at AVL RACING. The strategy was to ensure an excellent and consistent user experience throughout the entire website.
The main challenge was to transform the core messages of AVL RACING into a graphical design, the showroom. At the same time, it was essential to consider limited graphical processing power without relinquishing a claim to high resolution and comprehensive accessibility from all browsers and devices.

01 // NUMBERING

For optimal user orientation within a complex and unknown environment, a numbering system has been implemented.

HEADLINE // TITLE

The large title design stands in contrast to the delicate futuristic elements of the hotspots (related additional content). This way, users immediately are informed about the content of the hotspot.

READ MORE // CALL TO ACTION

Distinctive call-to-action buttons encourage the user to engage further. The call to action alters depending on the content e.g. Read More, Watch Video, View Images etc. It is also colour-coded depending on the stakeholder it belongs to.

EXTENSIONS TO MORE ROOMS

The showroom was launched with three rooms and developed in such a way that more rooms can be added to it in the future.

360 SIMULATOR ROOM

The user can visually tour through an AVL RACING tech room via full 360-degree vision and learn about processes and solutions. They can also browse through related content which is shown in accordance with the new design and structure for easier user orientation.

05 VIRTUAL REALITY

360 DEGREES

The website provides users with a unique, interactive 360-degree vision that is accessible to everybody and everywhere, no matter what device or browser is being used.

3 ROOMS

Users can satisfy their curiosity by selecting one of three showrooms: the testbed, the control room and the simulator room.

25 HOTSPOTS

Throughout the whole showroom, users can find up to 25 hotspots (content elements) providing them with further details and facts about the processes, solutions and operations.

06 RESULT

The 360-degree showroom strengthened the brand and increased brand awareness for AVL RACING within their business area. Furthermore, the page hits of the current website could be doubled.
