THE IDEA

VOICE ASSISTANTS ARE ON THE RISE, AND THEY ARE NOT GOING AWAY ANYTIME SOON. QUITE THE OPPOSITE.

Voice User Interfaces (VUI) have come a long way ever since Apple’s Siri, the first mainstream voice assistant, made it into people’s lives back in 2011. Google Assistant followed, and soon after Amazon would forever change consumers’ homes with its smart speaker, Alexa. Consumer demand for voice assistants has grown exponentially ever since, making one thing abundantly clear: the future of marketing lies with voice. To learn more about VUI and speech recognition technology, SCOOP & SPOON developed a voice assistant called “Andy”¬– after our company mascot – for Amazon Alexa and Google Home, in preparation for what is coming in this near era of search.

“Since voice flattens menus it will make daily tasks far easier to complete. It will completely transform UIs and open up opportunities for marketers and brands to get creative and interact with customers in new ways. Voice will shape consumption patterns, consumer behaviour and future technology for years to come.”

Michael Ksela, CEO SCOOP & SPOON

Scoop & Spoon
Channels

According to a study by Grand View Research Inc., the global intelligent virtual assistant market is expected to reach 3 billion USD by 2020; in the same year, the market share of Google Assistant will have reached 43%. This is a huge, promising market; and yet, most companies still have trouble accessing it. By developing our voice assistant and broadening our skills, we are prepared to offer clients this new channel to help them expand their brand and enrich their user experience – which makes SCOOP & SPOON part of the first marketing companies to do so.

TALK TO
ANDY

Based on a joint content pool, we provide content for two digital channels – the website scoopandspoon.com and the voice assistant app. Making use of the most popular tools in this area, the assistant was developed as an Amazon Alexa Skill and a Google Action. The assistant’s wake word is assistant’s name – “Andy”. Following the wake word, the user can ask “Andy” questions about SCOOP & SPOON, our services, competences and projects.
